Shooter players who want a light mouse and don’t mind a cable should look at the Cobra. It weighs 58 grams, and Razer shaped it to fit most grip styles, so palm, claw and fingertip grips all work.

The switches are the interesting part. Razer uses its Gen-3 optical switches here, which trigger with light instead of a metal contact. That’s why they’re rated for 90 million clicks and why they can’t develop the double-click problem that eventually shows up in a lot of mechanical mouse switches. Pair that with full PTFE feet and the Speedflex cable, which is soft and light enough that it doesn’t tug much on fast swipes, and the Cobra glides more like a wireless mouse than you’d expect.

You can set sensitivity in 50 DPI steps through Synapse, and there’s a ring of Chroma underglow if you like RGB on the desk. The trade-off is that it’s still a cable, so a mouse bungee helps if you play at low sensitivity with big arm movements. For a tidy, fast wired mouse aimed at Valorant, CS2 or Overwatch, it does the basics very well.
