Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse

A lot of people buy a G305 as their first wireless gaming mouse and then never get around to replacing it. It’s a small, simple mouse with Logitech’s HERO sensor and the same Lightspeed 2.4GHz wireless the company uses on its pricier mice, so clicks and flicks register without the lag you get from Bluetooth.

The detail that sets it apart is power. It runs on a single AA battery, and Logitech rates that at 250 hours of continuous play. In practice that means you swap a battery a few times a year instead of hunting for a charging cable mid-match, and if you flip on Endurance mode in G HUB it stretches to months. The nano receiver also tucks inside the mouse, which matters if it lives in a laptop bag.

At 3.4 ounces it isn’t one of the ultralight shooter mice, but it’s light enough for quick aim in Valorant or Apex, and the compact body is easy to steer. People with large hands who like to rest their whole palm on a mouse may find it cramped, and it skips RGB lighting entirely. For a reliable wireless mouse you can toss in a bag and forget about, it’s still an easy recommendation years after launch.
