Logitech C920x HD Pro 1080p Webcam

The C920 has been the default streaming webcam for a long time, and the C920x carries that on. It shoots Full HD 1080p at 30 frames per second, with autofocus and automatic light correction that keep you sharp and evenly exposed even when your room isn’t brightly lit.

One newer detail is worth calling out: it’s compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2’s GameChat mode, so you can use it to show your face while chatting with friends on the console. On PC it works with Windows 11 and pretty much every streaming and video call app. Dual microphones capture stereo sound, which is handy for calls, though most streamers will still want a dedicated mic for their main audio.

It includes a 3-month XSplit VCam license, which lets you blur, replace or remove your background without a green screen. There’s no privacy shutter, so if you want to cover the lens when you’re not using it, you’ll need a separate cover. It also tops out at 30fps, so motion won’t look as fluid as a 60fps camera. For a reliable face cam for streams, Discord calls or Switch 2 chats, it’s a proven, easy-to-use option that mounts on top of most monitors.
