Gaming Monitors
High refresh, low blur, sized for your desk.
A gaming monitor is about refresh rate, resolution and panel type, in that order for most players. This page collects monitors worth buying, from fast 1080p screens for shooters to 1440p and OLED displays that make single-player games look their best.
Match the monitor to your hardware: a 240Hz screen only helps if your PC or console can push those frames. Each pick has a full write-up.

Gaming Monitors: questions people ask
144Hz, 240Hz or higher?
144Hz is a big jump from 60Hz for anyone. 240Hz and up mostly helps competitive shooter players with PCs that can hold those frame rates.
Is 1440p worth it over 1080p?
On a 27-inch screen, yes: text and games look noticeably sharper. On 24 inches, 1080p still looks fine and is easier to run at high frame rates.
Should I worry about OLED burn-in?
Modern gaming OLEDs include pixel refresh routines, and some makers' warranties cover burn-in. Static HUDs for many hours a day are the main risk.
